I have been working as a designer/illustrator since graduating from San Jose State. Previously, my first editorial job was in 2nd grade; the gripping tale, “The Autobiography of a Bean” {unfairly overlooked work}.
The venerable Kellogg’s Stick Up for Breakfast Contest was a cake walk after that.
I was then fortunate to obtain an extensive background in paying yer dues working as a page designer/illustrator at newspapers in California, Maine and Pennsylvania. After my newspaper run, I was the Art Director at a design studio in Alexandria, VA with a fine bunch of folks. In 2001 I opened up my own shop {OK, the wife did … everyone knows she’s lead dog…}, Fan Works Design, while pursuing illustration inside and outside of Fan Works.
I’m currently exploring any new opportunities that come my way; long-term, short-term, or collaborative. If you’d like any more info, just talk shop, or even commiserate, drop me a line. I’d love to talk to you … not at you.
I also have a radio show on WRIR lp 97.3 FM Richmond :: wrir.org.
I play rock ‘n roll music. The skinny is over at Sunrise Ocean Bender.
